This Plus-Size Line Wants To Break The Fast-Fashion Cycle

While so many labels churn out mass-produced clothing with little attention to the working conditions and environmental concerns surrounding their factories, we take pleasure in finding a label that's as focused on standout designs as it is ethical practices. Designer Liesl Binx is championing those causes to an extreme; she's hand-making limited-run items, and doing it specifically women size 14 to 26.

Instead of pouring on the spandex like so many other plus brands, Binx tailors her garments to offer architectural fits and unique textiles that are sorely lacking in most full-figure fashion. She envisions her line as fulfilling those transitional day-to-night moments, and makes her original designs in such small batches that each wearer can truly feel she's scored something standout. Hard to hate on that.
