Early fall is one of those magical times that you can wear just about anything you want and have it make total sense. One of my favorite items during this time of year is the fall jacket. Obviously, if you want to get all utilitarian, you can choose a jacket for its warmth factor alone, but in my experience, finding the perfect topper does more than just keep you toasty.
