Now THIS Is How You Do A Runway Show

There’s a magic moment on the runway just before a show begins: The lights dim, the DJ set starts, and a hush falls over the crowd. Then, in an instant, the anticipation is met with a troupe of models trekking down the catwalk in the looks you'll be mentally bookmarking for next season.

And, that’s just the experience Lord & Taylor treated us to last Thursday, September 4, to kick off New York Fashion Week. The showcase presented designs from Lord & Taylor’s Brand Assembly partnership, which is loaded with up-and-coming contemporary designers like Calla, to be adored, Sachin & Babi, and more. After the show (which was held at the Lord & Taylor NYC flagship), guests enjoyed wine, a photo booth, the continued sound stylings of DJ Alexandra Richards, and a Laura Mercier makeup station.
