Is Lorick Fall’s Most Covetable Collection?

We died for Abigail Lorick's spring '10 collection from her eponymous line, so we're not surprised the her fall collection is a doozy. The designer, who jetted to Paris and Milan at 18 to model for brands like Alberta Ferretti, used her familiarity with the fashion industry to make the switch from wearing clothes to making them. Known for her luxurious materials, recurring outfit cameos on Gossip Girl, and interesting narratives, Lorick's new stuff smacks of both The Royal Tenenbaums and Edie Beale in her prime. There's rich, hunter green velvet balloon dresses, some killer, tweedy, slouch pants, and lots of open trapeze coats and perfect cocktail dresses for a very grown up prom. Plus the eccentric headgear and crazy-colored gloves add a touch of electricity to an already stellar selection. This infernal heat makes the thought of a cool September stroll clad in Lorick our idea of heaven.
