Louis Vuitton Debuts A Monogrammed Bag We Actually Can Get Behind

There are only a handful of brands out there that have reached Coca-Cola status; meaning, when you ask any regular Joe whether he recognizes the logo, he'll most likely reply "Duh." Louis Vuitton — or "LV" as its commonly referred to by its most devoted fans — is one of those, and the brand has recently faced flagging sales on its monogrammed bags, due to such overexposure and brand dilution. Now, with subtler embossed monograms, harder-to-recognize (and copy!) textures, and more under-the-radar design elements, the Louis Vuitton handbag has undergone a bit of a makeunder.
With the rise of logo culture (and knockoffs), Louis Vuitton probably saw it fit to reenergize its own. And, Nicolas Ghesquière successfully turned the tides last season with the introduction of the Petite Malle. Continuing to reinvent, his resort '15 showings included the debut of a chain-strap envelope bag that mixes a monogram with geometric cut-outs in an Avenue-Montaigne-meets-Bedford-Avenue way. Plus, the diamond-patterned shoulder bag features a totally new take on oft-used LV logo pattern. Additional handbag deliveries include a super-clean, stark-white bucket bag (for non-klutzes only), disco-driven twists on the Petite Balle, and a pastel duo of top-handle Montaigne bags. Click through to see all the styles, including another angle on the logo bag that'll make you reconsider your self-declared "not a monogram sort of girl" stance.
