With the new mural on Houston, I Still Love New York tees, and benefit upon benefit to relieve Hurricane Sandy victims, it's clear that New Yorkers have no shortage of creative (and passionate) ideas to help those in need. Ah, but leave it to Sigerson Morrison and the Man Repeller to sneak a little comedic relief in with their charitable efforts. Tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the cult-favorite shoe line is teaming up with the repeller herself Leandra Medine for their "We've Got The Power!" Sandy relief event. The brand's Nolita boutique, which was left without power, water, and heat after the storm, will play host to the shopping-extravaganza-slash-fundraiser in its work to get the city "back on its feet." (We assume those feet will be covered in these, but we digress.)
Not only will you be able to donate goods, but a portion of all sales will be donated to post-Sandy city relief. Bring donations, shop 'till you drop ('cause it's for a good cause and you need shoes), and get ready to laugh in the face of the storm that started it all. Leave it to Leandra and Sigerson to make light of a tragic situation — pun totally intended.
