Karmen Pedaru Is A Karma Chameleon In Mango’s Winter Collection

We'll admit the Boy George reference in the newest collection for Mango isn't nearly as literal as, say, the Jean Paul Gaultier spring '13 presentation. The lovely Karmen Pedaru joined with the Spanish brand to show off its winter wares, and while her bowler hat and perfectly messy locks are pretty spot-on BG, the rest of the looks were more a style chameleon of sorts.
Cashing in — big time — on the popularity of black-and-white combinations this season, Pedaru poses in slim-fit skirt suits, tailored and shrunken blazers, oversized tweed coats, and graphics galore, including checks, polka dots, houndstooth, and zigzags. Alternatively, the rock-star-chic ensembles were also balanced by a selection of the coziest knits for that inevitable winter blizzard wonderland. Again, patterns took center stage in the chunky sweaters and scarves, which were often piled on in excess — and also happens to be the technique we swear by.
Click into the slides for all of Pedaru's shots and see a small, cultural throwback and a big source of inspiration for all our cold-weather styling challenges ahead.
