Still no Met Gala invite? While we can't do anything to change that, you can now at least catch the glitterati as they waltz along the red carpet from the comfort of your own armchair. For the first time ever, the Met will be streaming the pre-gala festivities online. Vogue's William Norwich and Elettra Wiedemann will be the duo interviewing gala goers like Carey Mulligan, Miuccia Prada, and Anna Wintour. Though not quite as spectacular as the real thing, we can't wait to see what everyone is wearing. That IS the point of the streaming, right?
Be aware that the live cameras will stop where the red carpet ends, but stay tuned after as the Met will also show special pre-taped segments on the history of the benefit and this year's exhibition, Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations. When forces like Vogue and the Met combine, we'll be sure to hang out couch-side (maybe dressed up), taking notes.
