Not Just Pretty Faces: Meet The New Breed Of Model-Artist Hybrids

We’ve had the models-slash-actors and the models-cum-musicians, but word on the street is that there’s a new ‘slashie’ in town. Make way for the model-slash-artist. This 2013 hybrid is both beautiful and brooding, which can only lead to world domination — or at least some very high exhibition attendance rates.

Our first sighting of these creatures came last month, when the likes of Suki Waterhouse and Imogen Morris Clarke took turns behind the lens to showcase their really rather wonderful photography and art at Next Models’ annual exhibition (last year, Tali Lennox revealed her hidden talents for painting). Upon closer investigation, we uncovered a handful of other models who are proving they’re not just clotheshorses, but also talented wielders of a camera or paintbrush. Because as Zoolander said, "There’s more to life than being really, really ridiculously good looking."
