3 Museum Parties Giving The Met Gala A Run For Its Money

For those of us interested in celebrities, arts and culture, fancy dresses, or, uh, partying, the Met Gala is the absolute grail. Not only does it draw strictly A-list stars in to-die-for dresses to celebrate a new collection of fashionable art, but it also happens to take place in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
For those of us left uninvited to the over-the-top event, however, there's still hope. The past few weeks have served up some (slightly) more attainable tickets to late-night extravaganzas that also happened to take place in museums. Dior took over the Guggenheim, Louis Vuitton took over the Whitney, and Maiyet took over the Met Gala's own Temple of Dendur for last night's Apollo Circle Benefit. The result was a trio of parties that felt super-special, looked super-stylish, and got us excited about doin' 'em again next year. Yes, even if SJP didn't turn up in ODLR this time.
