Loads Of Light & Green — Home Visit With A Rad Silverlake Landscape Designer

Some things we like most about L.A.: Ample sunshine, spacious apartments (take that, NYC), the ever-blooming plantlife around the city, and creative, inspiring people everywhere you turn. These might sound like a mixed bag of city traits, but to us, it's what makes waking up in Los Angeles a perennial treat.
Home tour and interview hub Freunde von Freunden recently visited the Silverlake home of Naomi Sanders, and we felt instantly heady with delight. The landscape designer's space is awash with natural light (not a curtain in sight!), dotted with overflowing houseplants, and full of some seriously covetable home decor. Sanders, who began her career in interior design before realizing she was on the wrong side of the table, marks Richard Serra, Federico Fellini, Barnaba Fornasetti as inspirations and believes that in California, the garden ought to be an extension of the home. Something to reach for in our own domestic spaces, to say the least! Click through to see some of our favorite snaps, and be sure to visit FvF to read the full interview with Sanders.
