Only In Miami: New Marlins Stadium Has A Pool In Left Field

With its unnecessary home run fountain and retractable roof, the new Marlins Stadium was bound to be a huge deal. But the whole thing seems totally, fantastically hedonistic, with air-conditioning, four-star food, and...bikinis. Right in left field. As if Miami's reputation as being a swimsuit-clad city where people just fiesta all day wasn't enough, the forward-thinking stadium has created a mini-pool party hosted by The Clevelander, complete with lobster rolls, tater tot nachos, frozen piña coladas — and nary a PBR and hot dog in sight. The new pool ain't cheap, but it might be a fun place to go watch the game without boiling in the heat. Though, not even that baseball tradition will be honored; the air conditioned stadium will keep unseasonably cool.
