A Can’t-Fail Cocktail For All Of Your NYE-Party Needs!

Though we love a show-stopping New Year's Eve cocktail — the kinda that requires shakers, strainers, garnishes, the works — there's something to be said for a simple recipe that lets you focus on the night's most important task: securing a midnight kiss.

So, we're grateful to local online glossy Rue magazine (ahem, this writer happens to be its executive editor) for this easy twist on the Dark 'n' Stormy, in which the classic combo of rum and ginger beer gets an update with a tang of winter citrus and some warming brown sugar. It's called a Come Hither. (Get it? It has kumquats in it...)
