This Shoe Collection Is Like 10 Nicholas Kirkwood Seasons In One

Every shoe fanatic out there can attest to having a never-ending need for the next best thing in footwear, but Nicholas Kirkwood's resort 2016 collection might just put an end to the constant seeking. The achievement that separates this batch from its predecessors is that it features nearly all of the British designer's signature styles into a concise 10 pairs.

All of our favorite Kirkwood mainstays are there (quirky patterns, thoughtful color combinations, and, of course, pearls), only this time they're elevated with more intricate and leaner silhouettes. Inspired by paper chains, the styles have a bit of a pieced-together feel that blends these Kirkwood design elements in new ways. There's also a gorgeous cutout pattern that really looks like the paper chains you made in elementary school, except at a far more advanced skill level. A lesser designer would need several collections to accommodate all these statement-making details, but Kirkwood harmoniously showcases them all in, if you ask us, less than a closet-full.
