There are two huge frustrations when it comes to runway fashion. Number one, you have to wait a good six months before any of the clothes you see will drop in stores. Number two, even if you do have the patience of a saint, you'll still have to scrimp and save in order to get the look you're after. That is, until now. Thanks to No.21's spring '16 runway show, you can implement a top styling trick immediately — and do it on the cheap.
The Italian favorite sent several looks down the runway that all started with one simple basic layer — the plain white T-shirt or tank top. The brand suggests you use these simple pieces as the start of something good — real good. Layer up with wrap sweaters or fancy dresses, just make sure to cuff the sleeves of the T-shirt for a mix of tough-and-casual with the floaty and feminine. Another pointer? Keep the tank untucked and tie your wrap sweater all crazy to create a mini peplum over a longer skirt or trousers. In other words: To complete a look that could set you back a month's rent look no further than your own pajama drawer. Or, you know, grab a trusty five-for-$13 pack of Hanes.
