How To Bring Bright, Bold Colors Into Your Space

This week we’re divulging the secrets behind industry darling Design*Sponge’s new conference room/craft center/team hang out space. Needing to utilize a neglected corner in their Greenpoint office, site creator Grace Bonney brought in a little help from the Homepolish gang. Homepolish designer Amanda Gorski came armed with ikat-patterned wallpaper, paint cans and some tried-and-true ideas about how color can transform a space.

D*S founder, Grace Bonney, knew that she wanted a multi-use area where she and her team could have lunch and host meetings but also get messy with craft projects for the site. After rearranging some furniture, adding the wallpaper, and overhauling what was essentially a storage corner, Design*Sponge can now confidently say they have all of the above — and more, if you add Cupcake and Cookie Area to the list.
