Jolly Good News! Opening Ceremony Opens Its Newest Store In Covent Garden

Opening Ceremony always gets it right. From collaboration sunnies to private label handbags, OC knows how to deliver an I-want-it-all kind of experience every single time. But with stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, Opening Ceremony has historically been something to admire from a distance for Europe’s sartorially savvy. No more!

Lucky for Londoners, Opening Ceremony has opened up its newest retail location at 35 King Street in Covent Garden. Hot off the tails of the London pop-up’s success (Olympics, anyone?), the new 7,500 square-foot store continues the OC tradition of presenting a carefully curated collection of personality-filled pieces in a visually stunning concept boutique.

In addition to a breathtaking art installation — entitled “Tinker” — by British industrial designer and artist Faye Toogood (even her name is perfect!), Opening Ceremony London will feature clothing from U.K. designers, international designers, and its own eponymous label. It will debut limited-edition treasures — print scarves by Pablo Bronstein, tea towels by Scott King, and prints from Terry Richardson — and collaborations with Chloë Sevigny, Gitman Brothers, and more. As if these aren’t reasons enough to take a trip to the new store, Opening Ceremony London will also feature a Claire de Rouen book shop-in-shop, which is certain to please the literary inclined.
