The old adage "When it rains, it pours" certainly seems to apply to the New York social calendar. This week there was a resurgence of evening events, and hoards of well-dressed partygoers in attendance. (Is everyone finally somewhat rested after fashion month?)
The common theme that connected all the outfits seemed to be a decidedly strict (read: non-existent) color palette. Should we blame the black-and-white theme at the Harper's Bazaar re-launch dinner that kicked off the busy week? Or, maybe it's the autumn chill that finally set in? Either way, monochromatic looks abound. And we absolutely loved it.
There's definitely something about an all-black, all-white, or somewhere-in-between ensemble that makes it look especially put together. Revelers like Michelle Williams, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dianna Agron, Coco Rocha, and Harley Viera Newton were spot-on in the style given the dress code of this week's itinerary. We party hopped from Canon's "Project Imagination" premiere to the Brooklyn Art Museum Gaultier opening to the Prada Journal reading. And, then there was the #onenightonly Armani Privé runway show and after party to round it all out. Click through for an instant fashion flashback.
