Who says you need a canvas to be a painter? Brooklyn residents and Hunter MFA students Jeremy Wagner and Rachel Budde certainly don't think so. For these budding artistes, the traditional brush to canvas is boring; Instead they're applying their skills to metal, merging urban scenes with found materials, rust, and digital photographic manipulation in the "Persistence of Painting" exhibit at Sloan Fine Art. After peeping this show, we're betting you may head to the nearest scrap yard. Just be persistent.
