Neo-Noir Beauties At 3.1 Phillip Lim

Comic books got a fashionable update backstage at 3.1 Phillip Lim as models were given a manga-tinged beauty look straight out of a graphic novel. "This girl is part cartoon, but emotional, edgy, ethereal, and on the brink of tears,” said NARS brand ambassador Francelle Daly. “Think, 'comic book super hero meets emotional Roy Lichtenstein character.'”

Inspired by iconic Lichtenstein "Hopeless" print, Daly rimmed models' eyes with a thick line of black liquid liner, then used NARS Jungle Red Lip Liner to draw a crimson line in the crease of the eye. She also dabbed a dot of the lip liner below the eye and smudged it to mimic the look of a girl who has just been crying. Top lashes got a healthy dose of NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara and Daly whited out models' lower lashes by smudging white eye liner on a cotton swab and brushing it over the lashes. Lips were given a coat of high-shine gloss and cheeks were given a flush using the new Undress Me Multiple, a pale pink with silver shimmer.
