We were insanely productive yesterday (yahoo 2012!), brunching with Kate Bosworth at the Soho House, then off to the beach for the photo l.a. opening gala. Not to brag or anything. But the point we're getting to is this: The pics were awesome.
We've seen some underwhelming art exhibits recently (the number of Ruscha-wannabes are out there is just wrong), but this photo expo had our eyes pleasantly peeled from entrance to exit. The show was so worth our cross-town trek!
Moby hosted last night's soirée, and his super cool crowd shots will grace the front wall through the run of the weekend show — make sure to peer deeper into the pics for the looks on his fans' faces — truly mesmerizing.

The place is brimming with digital works (Tiffany Trenda's is pictured), artful nudes, and famed vintage shots, but our shutterbug frontrunner was Quentin Shih, who was commissioned to snap Dior's haute couture collection for the design house's Chinese boutique debut. Shih's series of "Shanghai Dreamers" features fierce clothes digitally integrated into urban Eastern landscapes that our living room wall is dying for (see above). At $10K a pop (including the frame, people), these stylish surrealist prints are worth viewing even if you can't afford to drop that kind of dough. In fact, we're going back to "visit" this pic tomorrow! See you there? With a hot date in tow?
