Prabal Sings Karaoke With Hilary Rhoda, Man Repeller, & Brad Goreski

A killer, red-carpet dress? Obviously. Pecs to die for? Check. But a singing voice that has Frank Sinatra rolling in the grave? Yes, apparently Prabal Gurung not only has time to design pieces we're consistently guaranteed to splurge on and can pump iron like nobody's business, but he is also in possession of a singing voice that's X-Factor worthy. We got a front-row seat at the affable Nepali's after-party for his spring '13 show, held at NYC's latest hot spot, Chez Andre at the Standard East Village. Naturally, it's a karaoke bar.
Prabal's posse, including Brian Atwood (straight from the CR bash in a white tux), Brad Goreski, and the Brant boys, were happy to sing along to his baritone renditions — including a lively duo performance of Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You" with Monique Péan — and we actually chimed in off stage after knocking back a couple Belvedere shots (and copious amounts of Chandon). Getting behind the mic wasn't in our cards; though, we did try and convince Hilary Rhoda, Leandra Medine, and DANNIJO's Danielle and Jodie Snyder to try their hand (again) at "Call Me Maybe." Though a little Carly Rae Jepsen action didn't happen, we did record a couple of PG's greatest hits. Should we sell them on iTunes?
