Would You Wear A Sweater For Your Wrists?

We are dreamers about big sartorial inventions. If we had our way, skirts would shorten and lengthen with ease, and beanies would never budge from our heads. But, while we'll have to wait for some of these to become a reality, there's one L.A. brand that's come up with a new way to think about accessories.

Just in time for freezing fingers and cumbersome mittens, Ragcuffs has gone about solving a problem we haven't given much thought before: chilly wrists. Inspiration struck when creator Amy Neunsinger, a photographer, was gifted a pair of knitted cuffs — think bigger than a wristband, shorter than a sleeve, and cozy as can be — and found herself never wanting to take them off. Along with her business partner Kate Martindale, Neunsinger launched Ragcuffs.

Essentially, yes, it's a sweater for your wrists. It's a means to keep your forearms warm and provide a bit of cushion for your metallic cuffs and bracelets. And, it's also a new way to accessorize for winter (or anywhere an A/C is blowing) without the hassle of wearing gloves that barely allow you to use your touch-screen phone.

The wrist wraps come in soft knits made of wool, alpaca, and mohair and in a variety of colors, and they're patterned for styling to your taste. Yet, the question remains as to whether our wrists really need their own blanket. We say: Don't knock it till you've tried it.
