Oh what to do, what to do, with that old cell phone from 2007, or that busted printer that never worked anyway, or your old laptop, now that you've upgraded? Here’s an idea: Donate your unwanted electronics (so they can be recycled) to Recycle-It, a campaign that supports The Foundation for New Education Initiatives, a non-profit entity created by the Miami-Dade County School Board.
Launching tomorrow, with a kick-off event at Town Kitchen & Bar, the initiative is working to bring wireless technology to local classrooms, to help local kids further their educations. The organization will either pick up your unwanted goods for free, or you can drop it off at tomorrow’s event.

Plus, for every dollar the campaign raises, the federal government will give Miami-Dade County Schools $10. So just imagine what your old smart phone can do. Just remember to erase the pics before you hand it over.
