We hate to toot our own horns, but it seems we may have started a little trend. The city's newest hot hotel just popped up in the Fashion District, and it's called...wait for it...Refinery Hotel. There's lots to love here besides the awesome moniker, of course, including countless luxe trimmings, and a building history dating all the way back to a turn-of-the-century hat factory.
The breathtaking space features 197 rooms decked out with industrial-chic decor, distressed hardwood floors, 12-foot ceilings and Frette linens (seriously!). To honor the building's past life, rooms boast sewing machine-inspired desks, and the lobby plays home to a custom installation of hat-making tools. A stay at the hotel — which will put you back at least $400 — also grants you access to a 3,500- square-foot rooftop bar and totally 'grammable views of the Empire State Building. Refinery Hotel officially opens for business May 15, so book your room now — and don't forget to boast about your other favorite Refinery.
