Prettiest Thing Ever: The Beribboned Braid

While there's a time and a place for tough, badass-babe hair (especially when the weather cools down), lately, we've been drawn to something a little more delicate and sweet: woven braids. We saw it on plenty of models backstage at Fashion Week, and we couldn't help think of what a cool style this would be IRL. Lace, leather, silk, ribbons — the weaving possibilities are endless!
But, like many runway trends we find ourselves crushing on, we were afraid this 'do would be way too complicated to recreate off the runway — much less with our own two hands — so we relegated this to our Pinterest boards and prepared to move on with our lives.

Then, along came our hair and makeup BFF Bethany Brill, who assured us she not only knew how to do this stunning style, but she could show us how to do it on ourselves. Watch as she schools our beauty contributor, Tara, on how to master the beribboned braid. Lo and behold: It's so much easier than it seems! If you can do a basic three-strand braid, then you’re only a few steps away from creating this crafty coiff all on your lonesome. This look + velvet ribbon = our holiday party hairstyle.
