Banana Republic’s New Collab Is AMAZE

Designer collabs are like celebrity couples — some seemingly perfect matches fall through (any other Notebook fans still smarting over Rachel and Ryan's breakup?), while other unlikely pairs ('sup, Beckhams) make lasting vows and headlines. But, we'd bet our Isabel Marant for H&M booties this next sartorial union will be a smash: Banana Republic and Roland Mouret.
The French designer, famed for his shape-enhancing sheath dresses, created a 25-piece capsule collection that's hitting BR's website (and select stores) August 7. The limited-edition items feature the retail brand's signature Sloan fabric — a rich, bistretch material that Mouret hand-draped, cut, and pinned on the body to create his classic hourglass structure. Swoon.
To calm your cravings 'til you can shop the full lineup of dresses and separates, you can get a sneak peek of the lookbook, plus a little something extra. Between now and August 5, two pieces per day will be available to shop early. Just click through, flag your favorites, and check Banana Republic every day. Unlike Brad and Angie, this presale won't last forever.
