Sandro Definitively Proves That Slouchy Is The New Sexy

The designers at Sandro certainly love a challenge. How do we know? Well, last time we checked in, the Parisian brand was bent on making puffer coats cool, and this time around, it's all about making slouchy clothes sexy. Amazingly, the label nails it on both counts. To glance at Sandro's summer '14 lookbook is to long for the relaxed, tomboy (but still sexy) silhouette that makes our skinny jeans and miniskirts look, well, kind of try-hard in comparison.
The brand cites Brazilian modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer as the inspiration behind this collection, and we can definitely see his swoopingly graphic lines at play here. But, even more so, this collection feels like the ultimate in laid-back, minimalist chic. Skillfully cut dresses with touches of lace and fishnet are revealing but not overexposing, motorcycle jackets are done in sumptuous-looking wool, oversized tuxedo jackets are paired with silk shorts for a new take on the suit, and trousers fit like track pants. And, that's not to mention the brilliant accessories — one look at those grommet-covered shower slides, and our own editor-in-chief declared, "Grommets are the new studs!" You heard it here first, folks.
There's so much goodness and holiday-fanciness inspiration to absorb here that we are literally taking notes. Click on for all the looks, and get down with the slouch.
