Santa Monica may already be one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in all of Southern California, but the city has just announced plans to create their own version of The Highline—or more accurately, the Santa Monica Civic Center Parks. The extensive new plans will up the verdant factor in SaMo, including a new Town Square, Fig Picnic Gove, Pier Overlook, and shaded seating with ocean views. This will be the ultimate community center for little league, capture the flag, outdoor bar-b-ques, and romantic oceanfront dates, so get excited for this westside edition. (LAist)
