"I travel light, I live light," Michael Chan tells me over the phone. The social media and marketing strategist for Design Army is also a prolific Instagrammer, and he's just returned to the West Coast after a brief stint in Washington D.C. to put down roots in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
In a serendipitous turn of events, West Elm took note of Chan's colorful feed and offered to outfit his home with all of the essentials. Considering Chan moved into his compact space with little more than a duffel bag, the help was surely appreciated. "It's a small studio apartment, so you don't want to buy too much stuff," he says. "I didn't want to clutter things up.”
