There's no doubt – girls women run the world. We design shoes, make music, produce car commercials, work on Wall Street, and that's not even close to the half of it.
In the midst of recent research concluding cheerful women aren't good leaders, and suggestions that finding a husband should be a top priority for all female (Princeton) undergraduates, someone had to stand up and say, "Hey, aren't we forgetting something?"
Claudia Chan has led the charge, celebrating inspiring women around the country. Her second annual S.H.E. Summit Week features approximately 100 pop-up events designed for and by women from coast to coast. S.H.E. Summit Week – S.H.E. stands for "She Helps Empower" – strives to educate, connect, inspire, and support women by offering an extensive series of panels, keynote sessions, cocktail hours, and a culminating S.H.E. Summit Conference.
Taking place today and tomorrow in Soho, the conference is jam-packed and features Lubov Azria of BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Joi Gordon of Dress for Success, Carol Hymowitz of Bloomberg News, and many other jaw-dropping individuals. We'd say Ms. Chan deserves a standing O.
