With popularity comes backlash. This is true for high school students, top-20 pop stars, actors, and L.A. neighborhoods alike. And, no two L.A. 'hoods know this better than Silver Lake and Venice. As the reigning queens of cool, the two are often compared to each other, whether the debate is about the housing market or the best farm-to-table restaurants.
