Sneak Peek! Matchbook Mag’s To-Die-For Joy Bianchi Profile

If you're anything like us, you've been waiting with bated breath for the October issue of Matchbook magazine to hit the web. And, to help satiate your appetite until Monday's big unveiling, the folks over at the digital-decor bible are giving Refinery29 readers an exclusive sneak-peek of one of their soon-to-be-live profiles on none other than San Francisco style icon Joy Venturini Bianchi. The legendary socialite and eccentric director of Helpers–the local charity that benefits the developmentally disabled–invited the Matchbook crew into her by-appointment-only Helpers House of Couture on Fulton Street for the shoot. Naturally, what follows is loads of vintage couture-, shoe-, and bauble-porn! The delectable donated clothing from all over the world (Pucci, Chanel, Givenchy, etc.) is spread out over nine rooms, and all the proceeds go to the very worthy charity, making the shoot all the more inspiring. "Joy is a true force of nature and has dedicated her life to helping others," explains Matchbook's co-founder and editorial director Katie Armour.
