Marfa, TX, population 1,981, has become one of the hottest art destinations in the world, despite being three hours from the nearest airport and tucked away deep in the desert. Everyone from Solange Knowles to Robert Pattinson has made the pilgrimage in order to see installations like Walter deMaria’s Lightning Field, Donald Judd’s compound of massive artworks, and of course the iconic Prada Marfa.
