Yesterday's 24-hour heat wave was like unwrapping a candy bar to find a carrot, or having a grandmother jump out of your birthday cake, or Alexis Bledel's career — basically it was a big tease. Sure, we had our fun (We didn't wear tights! Eee!), but as soon as the clock struck midnight, we were chilly, windblown, and wishing we brought a sweater.
