Teatum Jones Blows Us Away With An Effortless, Glamorous, Sensual Debut Collection

Though we're not such a big fan of this philosophy in our personal lives, when it comes to our wardrobes, we're all about the drama. We've been positively enthralled by brand-spanking-new line Teatum Jones. The debut spring '11 collection for the label, the brainchild of London-based designers Catherine Teatum and Rob Jones, brings it in full force. Riffing on the concepts of balance and contradiction, Teatum Jones demonstrates the beauty that can emerge when opposing forces collide—masculine and feminine, light and dark, tension and utter ease. The signature print that is woven throughout the collection manifests this idea in a mash-up of 17th century Spanish Baroque art motifs and microscopic human cell imagery. Though highly abstract and elaborately conceived (not to mention impeccably tailored), Teatum Jones' pieces also embody a certain effortlessness in the sleek, billowy, incredibly easy-to-wear silhouettes, plus the gorge sandblasted silk is super luxe and ridiculously comfy.
