First Look: The Podolls Deliver Elegant & Eco-Friendly Finds For Fall

If you ask us, fashion doesn't get much more impressive than a stylish, eco-friendly line crafted by an absolutely adorable husband-and-wife duo (double the dose of design skills!). Well, that’s precisely what S.F.-based brand The Podolls has going on. Your average married couple? Not so much. Josh and Lauren Podoll started their sustainable women’s line after a chance meeting in 2003 — and the rest is S.F. sartorial history.
They're back at it this season with a beyond-covetable fall ‘12 lookbook. While it may not be fall yet (despite this rain, our brains are in total spring mode), the eclectic mix of graphic prints and bold basic threads feel like they'd fit neatly into any S.F. microclimate. From a tribal-inspired mini to a cozy-looking chambray top, this line is easy on the eyes and — big bonus! — great for the environment.
"This season is a mash-up of sorts as we pulled from disparate decades for inspiration, and the result is modern, whimsical, and always indispensable," explains Josh. "There are brights for the days you want to stand out and lovely neutrals that coordinate easily for the quieter days. Our exclusive seasonal print references traditional knitting patterns that we’ve reimagined in a daring palette and printed on dreamy sandwashed crepe de chine, which is luxurious and versatile."
We’re seriously smitten with the fall collection and can’t wait to get our hands on some of The Podolls' pretty designs. Click through for a sneak peek at the lavish lookbook and see if you agree.
