It's weird that two dudes coming from the spastic geometry of prog and the atramental recesses of black metal would join forces to create a record that sounds like a darker version of Junior Boys. Yet Miracle, whose two members come from these more difficult corners of rock, have concocted an electro-pop experiment that is both shadowy and accessible. In "The Visitor," they combine echoes of classic horror movie themes with the fun of New Wave. "The Visitor" could soundtrack the spooky exploration of a fog-filled manor, but Miracle are more likely to lead you to a dance party than a coven of witches.
