Tocca Brings Boyish, British, Super-Flattering Silhouettes For Fall ’12

Way back in 2004, TOCCA was born for the St. Lucian beachgoer and sustainable-beauty junkie. Fast forward eight years, and the brand now boasts three RTW collections, a beauty line, a strong following in Japan, and a swanky West Village boutique. Talk about achievement.
Debuting a more androgynous selection for fall ’12 — a fresh turn for the brand that is known for its girlie-sweet style — the collection nods to ‘60s mod and all things quintessentially English. Designer Emma Fletcher plays up distinctly British influences in her Aussie upbringing, giving us traditional tweeds and argyle sheers with English schoolgirl shapes.
In the lookbook (which features an enviable ability to master the cat-eye), silhouettes flick between typical his-and-hers’ classics, sweetheart necklines to corporate suits, girlie blouses, and boyish pea coats — all drawn in with a black and brown palette, a repeated crochet, and a fabric print inspired by ‘60s album covers. Needless to say, we want everything.
With standout styles and more subtle separates, this collection is perfectly suit-able for fall.
