Valentino Threw NYC’s Biggest, Most Beautiful Wedding, & Everyone Came

The invitations were printed on a cotton rattan. The dress code was black tie. And the bride? There were 47 of them, and not a one was getting hitched. Small legal formality aside, the Valentino haute couture show held in the old Whitney Museum space last night was still the best wedding ever. With bridal looks ranging from "NBD, I'm going to wear a shorts suit" to "Eat your heart out, Solange" to "I'm the prettiest princess," the collection paraded so much beauty it could have persuaded the staunchest of anti-wedding folks to reconsider.

As for the RSVP list, fashion's most notable were all in attendance to witness Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri's handicrafts, including father of the bride (Valentino Garavani himself), mothers of the bride (Franca Sozzani and Anna Wintour), and all the crazy cousins ready to tear up the dance floor. The quirky aunt who wears socks and sandals to everything even showed up. Like most weddings, the people-watching was nearly as good as the show itself.
