Ah, summertime in Chicago; there's really nothing like it. The parks are open, the clean city is cleaner, the lakefront is a-bustlin', and Lollapalooza's weekend takeover is imminent. Since 2005, thousands of people have descended upon Grant Park for a weekend of nonstop tunes. And, this year's headliners are enough to whet the palate of even the wariest of festivalgoers.
The Chicago Tribune reported that, despite not knowing the full lineup, Eminem and Skrillex are slated for the top of the bill. Along with Slim Shady and the dubstep king, Kings of Leon is reprising its headline spot from 2009. Oh, and the Arctic Monkeys is returning. The weekend of August 1 to 3 is shaping up to be a quite ball, y'all.
Stay tuned for the full lineup. But, in the meantime, we suggest brushing up on your Kings of Leon and Eminem discographies. You don't want to be the only one not lip-synching for your life, now do ya? (Consequence of Sound)
