How To Do Chicago Like A Lollapalooza All-Star

Lollapalooza, one of the biggest and longest-running major music festivals in the U.S., returns to Chicago's Grant Park from July 31 to August 2. Are you excited? We sure are. Past years have seen the likes of Radiohead, Arcade Fire, The Smashing Pumpkins, Outkast, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye West, and the 2015 crop is none too shabby, either: Headliners include Paul McCartney, Florence + the Machine, and Metallica, with a solid list of indie acts (alt-J, FKA twigs, Tame Impala, and more) sprucing up the undercard.

Since the artists will be gathered in the Windy City for the weekend, we figured some of them might want to go exploring in their free time, or maybe even drop by a few local favorite haunts. To make it ridiculously easy for them — and you — we created a handy guide inspired by some of our favorite acts. From quintessential record stores to idiosyncratic cocktail bars to delicious pie and pastry shops, we have your beyond-the-music adventure covered.
