2012’s First Dose Market Might Be Our Favorite One Yet

aporta main

After a quiet, Dose-less January, we're all sorts of jazzed that the monthly food and fashion market is back in 2012 with a lineup as good as you remember–maybe better. In this pre-Valentine's Day Dose, you can expect to find all the delights that keep you coming back, including free cocktails, yummy breads, cheeses, and some sort of can't-walk-past-it pie. For the Valentine who won't settle for something in a box (atta boy), there will be chocolates from local companies Mayana and Sea + Cane. What we're absolutely swooning over though, are the handwoven scarves from Aporta that will be making an appearance. We're no strangers to winter accessories, so any time a creative player wants to entice us with one we don't already have, we're all ears. Also, keep your eyes peeled for Vintage Smith, because the Bucktown vintage clothing and accessories shop will be setting up a Dose booth, and you'll have to elbow your way past us to check it out. Watch the video below for a quick explanation of why this market is winning the hearts of Chicago shoppers. You might even spot a cameo from someone very familiar. Here's hoping this week flies by.

Dose Market at the River East Art Center, 435 East Illinois Street (east of McClurg Court); 312-321-1001.
