Low Calorie Cocktails For Summer, Part II!

We all know summertime means backyard barbecues, sweet treats, and summer cocktails. It also includes some serious hours spent in a bathing suit. So, if you're keeping your imbibing low-cal this summer, we've got some totally delicious ways to stay on track while living it up. Say hello to our little tequila friend! The good folks at Corzo Tequila have a few calorie-wise tricks up their sleeves, and were graciously willing to share them with sippers eager for new recipes. Summer ain't over till it's over!

Corzo Italian Summer Sipper (pictured)
Makes one drink

2 strawberries
2 sprigs fresh basil
1 ¼ ounces Corzo Silver
4 drops balsamic vinegar
1 ounce fresh lime juice
2 ounces distilled water
2 packets Splenda or other sweetener

In a mixing glass, muddle strawberries and one sprig of the basil. Add the remaining ingredients and ice, shake 20 times and serve in an 8-ounce rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with the remaining sprig of basil.

Corzo Farmers Market Margarita
Makes one drink

1 ¼ ounces Corzo Silver
2 sprigs fresh cilantro
4 slices fresh cucumber
2 slices fresh jalapeno
1 ounce fresh lime juice
2 ounces distilled water
2 packets of Splenda or other sweetener
1 slice lime (for garnish)

In a mixing glass, add all the ingredients and ice. Shake vigorously and serve in an 8-ounce rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with lime slice.
