Basketball fans may remember that gut-wrenching moment during the NBA playoffs where Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose fell straight to the floor, clutching his left knee. The NBA wunderkind tore his ACL without even a shot at the finals. Fortunately for Rose, the world didn't lose interest, and Adidas has been patiently awaiting his return ever since.
An emotional Rose announced his $200 million endorsement with Adidas, which will include a signature collection. “It’s truly a blessing with everything going on in this city that a kid from Englewood has something positive going on,” said Rose at the announcement. The D-Rose collection is expected to hit stores October 4 and will be promoted in conjunction with a documentary series titled The Return. Part one and two, documenting the athlete's surgery and rehabilitation, are already available online.
