Believe it or not, underneath that snow on the frozen ground are beautiful buds and green grass almost ready to come to life in the next month or so. But if that's just too long to wait, head on over to the Bloomingdale's Home store this Saturday, March 2, for some serious spring floral inspiration.
Between 1 and 3 p.m., celeb flower designer Michael Gaffney (and founder of the Chicago School of Flower Design) will be hosting a Alessio Alessi floral event that will teach guests how to create DIY flower arrangements by playing with different heights, colors, shapes, and textures. If you're lucky, you might walk away with one of Gaffney's creations — Alessio Alessi container and all (score!). So, there's no reason you have to wait for spring to make its cheery appearance. This weekend, put a little pep into your pad like a pro. With gray skies and flurries in the forecast, what else are you doing?
Bloomingdale’s Home Store, 600 North Wabash Avenue (at Ohio Street); 312-234-7674.
