Confession: While most guests at Simone Shubuck's Saturday art opening at Taylor De Cordoba hit the after-party straightaway, we had to make a CVS pit stop for...eyedrops. Why, you ask? Well, between Shubuck's exhibit (entitled Do You Like Old Things, or New Things That Look Old?), Heather Taylor's brand-spankin'-new space, and the awesome turnout, we barely had time to blink.

Of course, the minute Taylor's invite reached our inboxes we knew that this reception would be one for the books. Not only was this soirée a celebration of Shubuck's work, but a housewarming of sorts; Taylor relocated her gallery space (don't worry, she's still in Culver City Arts District!) and the spacious new spot even touts a private backyard for gatherings. Trust, this weekend's shindig didn't disappoint, especially in the dress code department.
