Somewhere between the lacklustre gazpacho you bring into work for lunch every day and your attempts at recreating your favourite dishes from Pinterest, there exists an actual art of food. And, while many can call the kitchen their studio, there is no culinary master quite like Ferran Adrià. So, you can imagine how delighted we were to learn that this summer, you can experience the retrospective exhibition of his work in Somerset House's elBulli: Ferran Adrià and The Art of Food.
In partnership with Estrella Damm, the exhibit is named after Adrià's iconic restaurant, elBulli, which was a favourite in Cala Montjoi for over 50 years. In fact, the restaurant was voted the world's best restaurant five times by Restaurant magazine and received over 2 million reservation enquiries for each summer season it was open. Quite the popular man.

Visitors to the exhibition can see multimedia displays of his team, his research (including handwritten notes and sketches), original tasting menus, and lots and lots of food photography. The exhibit will run from July 5 through September 29. Tickets are £10 and are available online.
