You've talked about getting into better shape for summer since January, but with 80-degree temps arriving this week (and Memorial Day just a couple of weeks away), bathing-suit season is a reality whether you like it or not. While we believe jumping on the health and wellness bandwagon is something you can do any time of the year, there's nothing like Self magazine's Workout in the Park to get a gal motivated.
Taking place on Saturday, June 1, in Grant Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event presents itself like the glossy pages of the magazine, complete with mini-workout classes, nutritional 411, the latest exercise trends to banish boredom, beauty tips, fashion advice, and more. Tickets are just $20 each (which includes a one-year subscription to Self), but it's cash only at the door, so be sure to bring a crisp Andrew Jackson with you. The festivities take place rain or shine, so no excuses.
Grant Park, 331 East Randolph Street (at Columbus Drive); 312-742-7648.
