What do we miss about wintertime? Nada, zilch — well, except our cashmere sweaters. Luckily, a new service from George the Salon will let us sport the silky stuff all summer, if only on our heads. Meet the new Cashmere Blowdry, which just debuted yesterday.
We stopped by the River North salon to test out the treatment, and our awesome stylist Julianne explained how the whole silk-a-fying process works. (Yep, we’re so excited, we’re making up words now.) The treatment starts with a spritz of eco-friendly Davines Defining Texturizer, which contains cashmere proteins and a mineral-rich marine derivative. While the spray worked its wonders on our tresses (it provides proteins and minerals for strength), Julianne applied Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oléo-Complexe to give frizz the boot and add shine. Then, she wielded the blow dryer, and it was business time.

About 45 minutes later, we had a perfectly sleek, soft, bouncy little ‘do, which we’d totally replicate for special events or date night. There’s just one side effect you should know about: You will not be able to stop touching your amazingly soft hair. The service is $50 — not a bad deal for cashmere, if you ask us.
